Moves to a New Akron Location
Facility relocates to the former Dr. Pepper/7-Up bottling plant
AKRON, OHIO — Fastener Technology, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of industrial fasteners and tools, has relocated its operations to a larger facility in the city of Akron.
The company’s offices, manufacturing facilities and warehouse are now located in the former Dr. Pepper/7-Up bottling plant at 1550 Industrial Parkway.
“With our continued growth, new product development and extensive inventory — our strength lies in our ability to redefine value,” said Fastener Technology President/CEO Pamela Davis. “With expanded facilities, we are better able to serve our customers and build efficiencies throughout the distribution process.
“It was important for us that our corporate headquarters remain in Akron as we open two new distribution centers in the US and Canada,” Davis continued. “Our new corporate headquarters is a 70,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility for our offices, manufacturing and warehousing.”
“We are thrilled that Fastener Technology has decided to relocate within Akron and that it will be utilizing the old 7-Up building,” said Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic. “It is always nice when a local company reinvests in its community and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
Along with the move, Davis says she expects to expand Fastener Technology’s workforce by 25 percent. The company is anticipating great interest in its newest product, the PV Security Bolt, an inexpensive but extremely effective deterrent to the increasing problem of solar panel theft.
